Etiquette for Non-Muslims Visiting the Mosque

You are welcome to visit the Mosque, the House of God and the place of worship for Muslims. The One God (Allah) creates us all, and we all belong to the same family of mankind.

You will be taken on a tour of the Mosque and explain to you the functions of different areas of the mosque. At the end of the tour you will assemble in the basement for a short talk and a period of questions and answers.

We encourage you to bring with you questions that you are interested in learning their answers. We all should learn from our similarities and differences and learn to live with each other in peace and harmony.

While visiting the Mosque, we appreciate your cooperation and compliance to the rules and regulations of the Mosque as follows:

1. Women shall modestly be dressed; e.g. loose dress ( covering the whole body), scarf covering the head and neck; abstention from makeup and perfume.
2. Boys and men shall tastefully be dressed.
3. Intoxicated persons are not allowed to enter the Mosque and if found in the Mosque that person or persons will be evicted immediately.
4. Footwear shall be removed upon entering the Mosque.
5. Eating, drinking, running and shouting shall not be allowed inside the Mosque.
